Demand technology provide a wide range of bespoke components including plastic mouldings, die castings and precision metal pressings for RFI shielding and EMI shielding within communications and computer products.
We have a small professional team at our UK headquarters covering Design, Development, Manufacturing Logistics and Supply of all products from plastic mouldings to RFI shielding and precision metal pressings. The team is supported by a network of prototyping facilities local to our facility in the UK and a vast manufacturing resource in China. Our engineers will work on your RFI Shielding, precision metal pressings and other technical concepts and ideas liaising with your engineers to create a manufacturable and cost effective design solution. This will be supplied in your choice of CAD format.
Alternatively our engineers will work with your complete designs. We will check them and feed back any recommendations for improved manufacturability. From here we can go directly to prototyping or straight to tool making and manufacturing to get the first off sample, and then on to volume production.
For prototyping of precision metal pressings for RFI shielding and metal parts we use wire cut, laser cut or chemical etching. For plastic prototypes we can machine from solid or make by using SLS, SLA, with a variety of materials. Suitable for functional testing. Throughout prototyping and pre-production our engineers will work closely with your engineers and marketing staff.
On approval of prototypes tooling for production is initiated. All moulds are made in our facilities in China. The same facility will also press or mould the parts. We provide a number of test shot samples for approval for form fit and function testing along with a fully dimensioned First Article Report. When approval has been given production will start. We will advise on packaging and methods for shipping. If parts are to be assembled we will prepare assembly instructions and test procedures to whatever level you require. At all stages we encourage our customer’s involvement both at our UK offices and the China factories
